Recently, it was reported that the all-new generation of Audi RS 7 will not offer V8 power, but instead will be equipped with a V6 plug-in hybrid system. The power output of the new model will start at 725 horsepower.
Taking the current RS 7 Sportback Performance as an example, it is powered by a 4.0T V8 + 48V mild hybrid system, with a maximum engine power of 630 horsepower. After the all-new generation model adopts the plug-in hybrid power, the power output improvement is obvious. In addition, through the "Boost mode", an additional 50 horsepower can be provided for a short period of time. If you are still not satisfied, it is reported that there will be a version with 800 horsepower.

At present, Audi has refused to comment on this news. Audi is currently adjusting its product lineup, and more plug-in hybrid and pure electric models will be launched in the future. The all-new generation of Audi A6 will be renamed Audi A7 (in China, the name A6L will be retained), and of course, the Audi RS 6 Avant will also be renamed RS 7 Avant. It is reported that the Audi A7 Avant will be released soon, and the RS version is expected to be launched before the end of 2025.
