Skyworth HT-i

The second model under the Skyworth brand, Skyworth HT-i, is positioned as a mid-size SUV and comes in a total of 7 models. It adopts a plug-in hybrid system and has a pure electric range of 200km, while the combined range is 1,267km.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the design language of "gravitational wave" aesthetics, starting from the center point of the car head and radiating outwards. The straight and large headlights on both sides and the through air intake below the car head all stretch the visual effect of the front face, and the overall shape is still very fashionable.

From the side, the new car is very similar to the currently sold Skyworth EV6, with a hard-line waistline running across the body, and the slow and fast charging interfaces are located on the driver's side. The round and full-shaped rear end adopts the popular through taillights, and the bottom is equipped with a light-colored trim. At the same time, the inner part of the taillight is embedded with the brand's English name.

The interior design of the car is not as trendy as many new forces today, but the configuration performance is still quite mainstream. It adopts a 12.3-inch full-liquid crystal instrument panel and a 12.8-inch central control screen. The car retains a lot of traditional physical buttons and adopts a shift knob to enhance the sense of technology in the car. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the new car's seat is made of genuine leather and suede, which is not common in the same price range, and is expected to have good comfort performance.

In terms of power, the Skyworth HT-i is equipped with the JL473ZQCEV 1.5L high-efficiency engine specifically for hybrid systems, with a thermal efficiency of 43.04%, a maximum power of 81kW, and a maximum torque of 135N·m. The battery pack capacity is 33kWh, with a maximum pure electric range of 200km and support for fast and slow charging. The combined fuel consumption range is 1267km, with the lowest fuel consumption of 5.3L/100km.

After the launch of the new car, it will face a number of domestic new energy products as its competitors, including Changan UNI-K New Energy and the Ruihu 8 PLUS Kuanpeng e+ with the same hybrid system at the same price level. However, Skyworth has a considerable gap in terms of dealer network layout and brand recognition compared to its competitors.

Skyworth Automobile has a low brand recognition in China, and as its second model, it did not continue to use pure electric power but launched a plug-in hybrid model, which is somewhat unexpected.
