Sentinel Mode can monitor the activities around your Tesla vehicle when it is parked and locked. When suspicious behavior is detected, the vehicle will respond according to the severity of the threat.

If a threat is detected, the vehicle's cameras will start recording and an alarm will be triggered. If the alarm is triggered, you will receive a notification alert from the Tesla app.

To enable Sentinel Mode on the vehicle's touchscreen, click "Controls" > "Safety" > "Sentinel Mode". You can also enable Sentinel Mode through voice commands or the Tesla app. Outside of Supercharger stations, Sentinel Mode will remain active until the vehicle's battery level drops to or below 20%. If Sentinel Mode is disabled due to low battery, you will be notified through the Tesla app.

Note: You must review and comply with local laws and regulations as well as any rules regarding the use of cameras at the location and assume full responsibility for doing so.

Note: Dog Mode and Sentinel Mode cannot be enabled simultaneously.

Note: Sentinel Mode will not record if the dashcam is not properly installed or if a USB flash drive is not equipped.
