On March 5th, Bentley Motors officially broke ground on a new Integrated Logistics Centre at its historic Crewe headquarters in the UK, marking a significant step towards an all-electric future for the ultra-luxury car brand. The facility aims to enhance operational efficiency, flexibility and sustainability, and will support the production of all future Bentley electric models, demonstrating the brand's commitment to its "Beyond100+" business strategy.

The new Integrated Logistics Centre covers an area of 11,620 square meters and will support material handling and distribution to the assembly line. To optimize the processing of large and small components, the facility will introduce advanced batching and sequencing functions. By increasing on-site storage capacity by 35%, Bentley Motors will reduce its reliance on external storage and transportation. Bentley Motors will be the first within the Volkswagen Group to implement this advanced automated warehousing concept, which will enhance process stability and optimize material sequencing through innovative warehousing and retrieval systems.

The centre was designed with efficiency and flexibility in mind to ensure seamless logistics operations and direct connectivity with the production process. It will feature a three-story mezzanine for meeting rooms, a restaurant, offices, training rooms, factory equipment areas and an observation deck for operational supervision. The Integrated Logistics Centre is expected to be fully operational by mid-2026 and will play a crucial role in Bentley Motors' goal of achieving full electrification by 2035.
