On July 6th, we learned from the official MINI website that the all-new electric MINI COOPER has officially gone on sale. The new car is positioned as a small two-door pure electric sedan and comes in five models.

In terms of appearance, the all-new electric MINI continues the family-style design of MINI, while integrating modern design elements into the details. At the same time, the LED headlights have multiple modes and can open the interactive function to realize the welcome and farewell animation.

In terms of size, the all-new Mini Cooper Pure Electric car is 3858mm long, 1756mm wide, 1458mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2526mm. Compared with the previous model, the new car's body size has not grown much, which should not disappoint fans of MINI.

The interior features a lot of eco-friendly materials and recyclable materials. The design still follows the classic circular central screen element, and the screen integrates the MINI OS 9 operating system, which has a good software display effect. There will be a total of 8 "experience modes" - initial mode, karting mode, energy-saving mode, relax mode, nostalgia mode, custom mode, party mode, and nomadic mode, each with a specific user interface. Just say "Hello MINI" to wake up the voice assistant, and the little assistant can recognize the speaker's location and perform functions such as calling, navigation, and controlling temperature.

Space is certainly not MINI's strong point, and practicality will not reach a satisfactory level, but think about it from another angle, being able to not be homogenized by the market, adhering to its own brand culture and positioning, not compromising and going with the flow, this may also be a manifestation of the MINI spirit.

In terms of power, the entry-level MINI COOPER E is equipped with a 135kW (184 horsepower) electric motor and a 40.7 kWh battery pack, with a CLTC cruising range of 456 kilometers. The high-end MINI COOPER SE is equipped with a 160kW (218 horsepower) electric motor, paired with a 54.2 kWh battery pack, with a CLTC cruising range of 452 kilometers, and an acceleration of 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds.

The all-new electric MINI still adheres to the principle of being easy to drive, except for the excessively stiff steering damping in "karting mode", the steering effort in other driving modes is no longer a burden, but the solid feel of the steering is still present, without the empty and drifting sensation of electronic power steering, and the precision of steering has been significantly improved. The steering ratio is very small, and it can be described as "point where you want to go".

It is confident to drive in daily life. And although it is an electric car, the seating position is also kept very low, so the subjective feeling of driving a go-kart is enhanced. In fact, you don't have to push the car to the limit of emergency lane changes and high-speed turns to feel the strength of the car's chassis, because even on narrow European roads, you can experience a slightly faster turn or a U-turn with the car, and the car's handling is indeed quite good.

The MINI has evolved through many generations and is no longer just a car. It has become a cultural symbol. The electric MINI is not the first time to appear, and there was an all-electric MINI model launched many years ago, but the significance at that time was mainly to try out and taste the freshness, and it was not introduced into the domestic market.

MINI has implemented a dual-platform strategy of electric and gasoline vehicles after its complete overhaul.
