In March, when the weather is still cool and new life is emerging, the all-new model of Chery automobile, JETOUR X90 PRO Gasoline SUV, was officially launched. The daytime running lights are designed in a hugging style and span the entire front end, containing 222 LED bulbs, each of which can be lit independently and synchronized with the screen. The vehicle's body dimensions are 4858/1925/1780mm, with a wheelbase of 2850mm, which is comparable to the JETOUR X90 and X90 PLUS. The side body contour design is more sporty than the front face, and the low- and mid-range models are equipped with 235/55 R19 Wanli brand tires, while the high-end models have 255/45 R20 specifications of the Chengtong and Michelin tires.

The car's rear end has a strong sense of hierarchy, and the car light design echoes the front end. The dual-side dual-outlet exhaust pipe creates the appropriate sporty atmosphere. In terms of configuration, all models are equipped with 360-degree panoramic imaging and transparent underbody as standard, with rear parking radar on the entry-level models and front and rear on the mid- and high-end models.

The interior is decorated with more luxurious atmosphere of brown/black and pure black color schemes, and is wrapped in large areas of leather to create the corresponding touch. The shape and configuration are closer to new energy vehicles, where we can see a very neat and simple central control panel, a 15.6-inch floating screen that is standard across the range, a car machine system that is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chips, and functions that support car networking, visible speech control, OTA upgrades, and mobile phone remote control, among other mainstream functions. The high-end models are equipped with a Sony brand 8-speaker sound system for audio and entertainment, and have a 50W wireless charging platform.

The vehicle has two seating capacity options of 5 seats and 7 seats. The 7-seat model still has the common 2+3+2 layout. The front seats can provide convenient and comfortable features such as electric adjustment, heating, and ventilation according to the configuration. The second and third row seats can be folded at different angles, and in 5-seat mode, three 28-inch suitcases can be placed side by side.

In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with 1.6T and 2.0T engines. The 1.6T engine has a maximum power of 197 horsepower and a peak torque of 290 Nm; the 2.0TGDI engine has a maximum power of 254 horsepower and a peak torque of 390 Nm. Both engines are matched with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

In terms of driving assistance, the entry-level and mid-level models have a cruise control, while the mid-high-level models have an L2-level full-speed domain adaptive cruise control, which supports lane keeping; the top-of-the-line model also has automatic parking and automatic lane changing assistance functions.

When the SUV market in the compact segment was heating up, JETOUR began to lay out for larger SUV models. Just the JETOUR X90 series already includes three models, let alone the JETOUR X70 series and X95 products. Currently, the JETOUR X90 PRO not only offers more price segmentation, but also breaks through in terms of vehicle styling. The front end design is similar to the Shanhai L9, but the vertical waterfall grille decoration makes the overall style more solemn.

The competition in the mid-size SUV market may not be as fierce as that in the compact segment, but there are still many skilled players, such as Geely Haoyue L and Changan CS85 COUPE. Among them, Geely Haoyue L is a 7-seat mid-size SUV with a 2.0T engine as standard across the lineup, while Changan CS85 COUPE comes with 1.5T and 2.0T engines as options, but only 5-seat layout. Compared with the above, the JETOUR X90 PRO, in addition to the difference in configuration, has a more diverse 1.6T/2.0T engine and 5-seat/7-seat optional seating arrangement, which can cater to the needs of more consumers.
